1990 Steinberger GL7T
Steinberger guitars are known for their innovative design and unique construction. Founded in Newburgh, New York, in 1980, they feature a headless design, allowing for a more ergonomic playstyle. Bought by Gibson in 1987 production continued in Newburgh until Gibson moved it to Nashville in 1992 – Gibson mothballed the Steinberger line in 1998.
The original guitars are constructed using a proprietary material called Steinberger Blend, a combination of graphite and carbon fibre, which provides durability and stability. This design choice made Steinberger guitars instantly recognizable and favoured by many musicians for their performance and sound quality. The company's commitment to material innovation and ergonomic design significantly influenced the landscape of electric guitars and basses in the music industry.
This all original 1990 Newburgh built Steinberger GL7T is in great condition.
