1997 Dobro DW60
A hollow style resonator with three-ply laminated maple top/back/sides, two screened/three smaller uncovered sound holes and a single cone resonator. The round Maple neck joins the body at the 12 th fret and has a Rosewood Fretboard with white dot inlays. The guitar also features spider bridge/trapeze tailpiece, solid headstock with logo decal, chrome hardware, and three-per-side tuners – The DW60 was discontinued by Gibson in 2000.
This 1997 model was made in California, before Gibson moved production to Nashville later that same year. The guitar is in fantastic condition with only a few small marks on the body and top of headstock to show for its near 30 years of play (see last 3 pictures). The lacquer is starting to craze to the upper bouts of the top of the guitar giving a nice vintage feel/look to the reso.
