Like all guitars in Taylor's 600 series, the Taylor 655ce 12-string jumbo acoustic-electric guitar has curly Maple for its back and sides with the balanced Sitka Spruce on top to comprise its fully bound body. It is a single cutaway jumbo-shaped guitar with a high gloss natural finish. Gold-plated Taylor tuners and abalone rosette give 655ce a touch of elegance and prestige. Taylor’s favourite tone wood Ebony is used for the bridge and on the 20-fret fretboard.
The 655ce was produced from 1998 to 2013 – this one is from the first year and features Fishman Electronics. Despite being 28 years old the guitar is in great condition with only some small dings/marks to the top to show for its age (see last 3 pictures). The guitar has been setup with a new set of Ernie Ball Earthwood 10s – comes complete with a Hiscox hardshell case.
