Product Details

Peerless is Korea's premiere guitar manufacturer and has been producing high quality jazz guitars since the 70s. Over the years they've built thousands of guitars for Gretsch, Gibson, Fender, Epiphone, and many others. Now a prestigious brand in their own right, Peerless offers instruments that rival the sound and playability of much costlier boutique makers at a fraction of the price.

This 2007 Peerless New York has a laminate spruce top, laminate maple back and sides, and a maple neck. It features a rosewood fingerboard, rosewood cello style tailpiece, Grover Imperial tuners and a gorgeous sunburst finish. The overall style of the instrument is reminiscent of the more ornate designs of the legendary John D'Angelico and his protégé Jimmy D'Aquisto. Embellishments include stunning block fretboard inlays of mother of pearl and abalone, D'Aquisto style headstock logo, and 7-ply ivoroid/ebonoid body binding.

The guitar has had one major upgrade with the installation of a Charlie Christian pickup controlled by single volume and tone controls. There are vacant holes to the side of the end of the neck where the floating pickup was previously installed. The scratch plate is missing with 2 vacant holes to the top where the scratch plate was fitted.

The guitar is in superb condition and comes complete with its original Peerless hard case.
