1974 Framus Nashville Standard De Luxe
This rare Framus bass is a 1974 Framus Nashville Standard De Luxe – in our opinion one of the best bass guitars ever produced by Framus.
It has a natural finished solid body, sandwich construction, with cream bindings to the front and back of the body. The set Maple neck has Rosewood fretboard with block inlays. The unique 4 position switch and 2 Bill Lawrence designed pickups which, combined with single volume and tone controls gives you a fantastic variety of tones. The bass is in fantastic condition, especially considering it is now well over 50 years old. It does have some light marks and scratches to the body, mainly the sides and back, (see last 5 pictures), and the tone knob is cracked although still functioning as it should. There are some infilled holes to the top between the bridge and string retainer where a different bridge was previously fitted.
The bass is all original with the exception of change to quality open back Schaller tuners and a replacement tune-o-matic style bridge. The bass has been setup with a brand new set of Dragon Skin bass strings and has good low action across the fretboard and comes complete with Thomann padded gig bag.
