Product Details

From the 1950s through to the 1970s Framus was one of the biggest luthiers in Germany, well known for their interesting designs and the durability of their instruments. The Nashville series of guitars and bass guitars were made in the 1970s as part of an arrangement with Framus' American distribution network.

This rare 1974 Framus Nashville Standard is a solid body guitar with a sandwich construction body. The set Maple neck has a bound Rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. The electrics consist of 2 Bill Lawrence designed “mini humbucker” type pickups with master volume and tone controls and a 6-way switch. The 6-way switch lets you select the individual pickups, or both, or combine different coils in phase and out of phase – lots of tonal options here – the same electrics as used on the top of the range Jan Ackerman Signature model from the same period.

As can be seen in the pictures the guitar is in great shape, with only a few small dings on the body, and one on the neck, to show for its 52+ years (see last 5 pictures) – the guitar comes complete with a brand new TGI Extreme semi-rigid gig bag.
