This rare 1977 Aria Pro II LC440 Custom, in a fabulous green burst finish, was made in limited numbers in the Matsumoku factory.
The guitar has a Mahogany body with a Sycamore cap, bound with a cream binding with black pinstripe detail. The Birch neck has a bound Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets. The 3 humbuckers are controlled by the 3-way pickup selector as follows: Position 1 - Neck & Middle; Position 2 - All 3 Pickups; Position 3 – Bridge & Middle, with each of the pickups having their own volume control, and a single master tone control – there is also a coil tap switch to give you even more tonal options – the variety of sounds from this guitar is fantastic.
Despite being 48+ years old the guitar is in fantastic condition. The gold hardware has virtually no signs of tarnishing and the frets and fretboard are in equally great condition with no real visible fret wear. The body has a couple of really small marks around the sides and a small scratch on the back (see last 5 pictures) but this guitar has clearly been well cared for over the years – comes complete with padded gig bag.
