We love the big headstock Strats……this is a 1979 Fender Stratocaster in sunburst finish on an Alder body, 3 bolt neck plate with Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard.
The guitar is all original with the exception of the tremolo block and saddles - Everything else on the guitar is original, including; the 3 flatpole grey bottom single coil Stratocaster pickups dating to '79; 3 original pots with 7936 pot codes; 5-way pickup selector; 2 string retainers; strap buttons; the 3 ply scratch plate which still has sticker matching the serial number to that on the headstock. The pickups are perfectly balanced and sound fantastic; strung with a new set of DR Blues 10s the guitar plays as good as it looks.
The guitar is in great condition with some small marks around the edges and some good honest play wear to show for its 46+ years (see last 3 pictures). The guitar comes complete with its original Fender hard shell case.
