1987 Pedro Maldonado Classical Guitar
Pedro Maldonado began crafting guitars in 1959. Later, his sons Pedro and Luis continued the family business, which continues to this day. This classical guitar was hand made by Pedro Maldonado in the Malaga workshop in 1987. Constructed of Rosewood back and sides with a Spruce top this guitar has fantastic clear projection. The Ebony fretboard and frets are in great shape.
The quality of build of this guitar is superb – easy to see why these guitars were in big demand with Maldonado working 14 hour days to meet demand and orders. This guitar was originally sold through Ivor Mairants in London. 40 years old next year the guitar is in brilliant condition and has clearly been well cared for over the years – comes complete with an early Hiscox case – probably the one it was originally purchased with.
