Product Details

Introduced in 1952 the Fender Twin Amplifier is an iconic guitar valve amplifier known for its clean tone and versatility. It features dual 12-inch speakers and has been a staple in rock music, used by guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

One of the standout innovations was its dual-speaker design. This allows it to produce a more powerful and clear sound. The amp’s valve-driven reverb and tremolo effects were also ground-breaking innovations in its day. Whether you want to play clean, distorted, or a combination of the two, the Fender Twin can handle it all with ease.

One of the key features that contributes to the Fender Twin’s signature sound is its all-valve circuit, giving you a warmer, more natural sound that so many guitarists prefer. The Fender Twin’s tube circuit uses ECC83 preamp valves and 6L6 power valves. These valves give high gain and clean tone, which allows the Fender Twin to produce a wide range of sounds but with great clarity.

Over the years there have been endless predictions of the demise of the use of valves in amplifiers. Yet here we are, decades later, and the sound of a hot valve is still what we love.

This 1996 model is in great condition, comes complete with its original 3 button footswitch and a purpose made flight case for safe transportation to and from the gig.

Due to weight of the amplifier and flight case this is only available to pickup in the shop.
