Product Details

The popular Martin 000-28EC signature model is a tribute to the pre-war guitar played by Eric Clapton during his legendary MTV Unplugged performance.

This 2001 model is in mint condition and comes complete with its original Martin hard case.

Its 000 body size delivers a well-balanced tone across all six strings, and the East Indian rosewood back and sides offer rich resonance and depth, complemented by a Spruce top for clarity and brightness. The shorter 24.9" scale length (preferred by Clapton) is ideal for both fingerstyle playing and expressive bends, while the modified Mahogany V neck provides comfort and control. The Ebony fretboard has abalone pearl inlays in a diamonds-and-squares pattern, and nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs finish off the appointments. The guitar's looks are enhanced with antique toner on top, herringbone inlay, and a full gloss finish.

A simply superb guitar from Martin – and we have 2 in stock just now – have a look at the 2002 model we also have listed.
