2004 Martin 000-16 GT
The Martin 000-16GT was introduced in 2000 as part of the 16 Series, which aimed to provide high-quality instruments at a more accessible price point compared to some of Martin's premium models. Although the model was retired (discontinued) by Martin in 2018, it remains popular among guitarist for its excellent sound quality and craftsmanship. The guitar's construction from all-solid wood (no laminates) ensures durability and enhances its tonal characteristics over time.
The body is made of Mahogany back and sides, X-braced with Spruce bracing, and a Spruce sound board on top. The back and sides are matt finished, whilst the top has a gloss finish (giving the GT in the model number). The selected hardwood neck has a 20 fret, 16” radius, Black Richlite fretboard with dot inlays.
The guitar is in fantastic condition and has obviously been well cared for over the first 22 years. Setup with a brand new set of Dragon Skin strings on board – comes complete with its original Martin hard case.
