This 2016 Zamaitis CAJ-200HS is a Jumbo bodied acoustic guitar with the Heart Shaped Sound Hole that came from the mind of Tony Zemaitis and is truly distinctive. As you would expect from a jumbo you get big bass tones and powerful rich notes across the fretboard. The neck features diamond inlay work with a distinctive Rosewood headstock. The Mahogany neck joins the body at the 14th fret and has a lovely dark Rosewood fretboard.
Zemaitis acoustics are truly distinctive, with its original Heart Shaped Sound Hole, Abalone heart rosette and that big “Smiley” bridge. However, its most notable feature is within the body material itself. The body top is solid Sitka Spruce, while the back and sides are Rosewood, with Maple binding front and back. Heat and dry aging in a vacuum state removes excess water and minerals before assembly, creating a guitar that is fairly resistant to climate and temperature extremes.
