Hofner 500/2 Club Bass - CT - BRAND NEW with Teacup Knobs
As the popularity of the 500/1 violin bass grew, it was decided in 1964 to offer the 500/2 club bass as an alternative. It is aimed at musicians who are looking for the unique Höfner sound, but do not want to look like McCartney. The body has been produced for guitars since 1954. So it wasn't rocket science to combine the neck of the violin bass with a club body to create a new product. The 500/2 Club Bass is still manufactured today with the same components as in 1964. Many musicians prefer the 500/2 club bass over the 500/1 violin bass because it has a slightly larger body with an almost identical sound.
The Contemporary (CT) version of the Höfner Club Bass offers the famous Höfner bass-sound in an alternative cutaway design. Inspired by the original Höfner Club Bass from the 1960s this electric bass guitar offers you the chance to own a piece of history with vintage looks and sound. Light in weight and easy to play with the 30“ short scale neck. The Contemporary version is fitted with a centre block to help improve sustain and eliminate feedback. This model is fitted with original Höfner Staple-Top‘ pick-ups. Nut width 42 mm, scale length 762 mm (30“) - NEW with Tea Cups
