Product Details

1967 Gibson ES-125 TC - Rare Sparkling Burgundy Sparkle finish – yes we know that it doesn’t look very red in colour but the top and sides have faded to this really cool metallic bronze colour over the years. The original Sparkling Burgundy is still evident on the back the guitar, and when you take the scratch plate and bridge off you can really see that original red on the top - it was similar to Fender's Candy Apple Red. Sparkling Burgundy wasn't on Gibson's Custom Colours chart but was used from 1965 to 1968 - seen mostly on ES-335 models.

The guitar is all original with single P90 pickup, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, Kluson Deluxe double line tuners, original tortoise scratch plate embossed with Gold Gibson logo, and Gibson Pat No. 2.740.313 stamped bridge with nylon saddles.

We think this just might be our favourite guitar we have ever had in the shop - That P90 pickup sounds fantastic and the playability is fantastic with super low action - setup with a new set of 10s on board. There are a few small marks to the guitar as you would expect with 58+ years but overall condition is very good indeed (see last 7 pictures).

The guitar comes with a perfect fitting 1970s Japanese (Matsumoku) hardshell case – missing one catch and some on the interior lining is starting to pull away from the lid, but still functions as it should.
