Product Details

This is a superb example of a Watkins Rapier 22 from circa 1968 – the least common of the Rapier models. Finished in red with a white scratch plate containing the ''Rapier 22'' logo, with two white topped pickups operated by red and black pickup switches, a rhythm/solo switch and two volume and one tone control. These early Rapiers had the name Hi-Lo on the tremolo plate (after 1968 this was Wilson) and the Watkins headstock transfer. This guitar looks to be from period when the brand was changed to Wilson, as the knobs and pickups are very much of the Wilson style but the guitar still has Watkins on headstock and tremolo plate

The guitar is all original with the exception of the tremolo arm which appears to be a Fender replacement. It is in fantastic condition with frets and fretboards spot on with only a small of visible fret wear to the first 3 frets - comes complete with brand new padded gig bag.
