The Tone Bender’s circuit became massively popular, and over the following years its design rapidly evolved, making for a tangled and winding history that is intertwined with some of the most formative music made in the U.K. from the mid 1960s to the early ’70s – used by Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Pete Townsend, Steve Winwood and Mick Ronson to name but a few – this is the sound of ‘70s British rock in a box.
This Mark III version in its silver coated metal housing has clearly been well used with plenty of marks on the casing – it has been recently serviced and works an absolute treat, giving you that unmistakable overdrive tone at the stomp of a button.
