Product Details

If you’re looking for a lightweight short scale bass with some authentic vintage mojo then look no further. This fantastic 1977 Fender Mustang bass sounds and looks the part whilst being very comfortable to play. It is in fantastic condition with only a couple of minor dings to the body to show for its age. It is all original with exception of one new strap button, new string through ferrules and we think the nut is a replacement. It does however include the original foam mute, hard case and the Fender strap it was originally sold with in the ‘70s

Introduced two years after the Mustang guitar, the Mustang Bass was the first student-level bass produced by Fender as well as the last production bass designed by Leo Fender before he left the company. Initially targeted towards younger players, the Mustang Bass offers a lighter bass guitar, a shorter 30-inch scale length and a lower price-point than the Precision or Jazz Basses of the mid-'60s. The split single-coil pickup is also smaller than that of the P Bass, but still captures a wide range of bass tones.

Lovely grainy natural finished Ash body with a bolt on maple neck with rosewood fretboard – still sounds as good as it looks.
