1979 Fender Precision
The bass is all original - Serial number S893327 comes back to 1978 manufacture, however the 1979 pot codes are a better indicator of manufacture year as Fender weren’t the best with doing the sequential serial number thing during this period (and other periods). Set up beautifully with a brand new set of Regular Slinky strings on board. Finished in Olympic White the paint finish has crazed and cracked along the edges of the body – plenty of pictures showing this. The Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard are in great condition with only the tiniest amount of fret wear visible.
The bass weighs in at 4.5 kg (10 lbs) and comes complete with a Japanese made hard case from the same period - the case is missing it tolex cover to the top but is still in full working order. Please note that due to the paintwork we have set a very reasonable price for an all original vintage Precision Bass.
