Product Details

Built in the Matsumoku factory in Japan the Aria Pro II SB range of bass guitars were the bass of choice for many bass players through the 1980s, and beyond – superb build quality and still represent great value for money.

This 1980 Aria Pro ll SB600 model is one of the early Aria SB basses. It has a glued-in neck construction, a brass nut and bridge, a Jacaranda fingerboard, 24 frets, a Canadian ash body with an oak finish, and a single MB-1 double coil pickup. The SB600 is passive with simple controls: 1 x volume, 1 x Tone and a coil tap. The bass is all original and in excellent condition. It has clearly been well looked after over the years and only has some small marks to the finish of the bottom bass side edge (see last picture), and a small loss of finish to the control knobs, to show for its 45+ years. The bass comes complete with a period correct hard case.
