You know we love Japanese made guitars (especially 1980s Fender Japan) and we love Telecasters – so this all original 1985 Fender Japan Tl-69 Rosewood Telecaster is just about as perfect as it gets for us
Inspired by George Harrison these beautiful Rosewood Telecasters guitars are not solid Rosewood, but some have chambering to the bodies to reduce the weight from ridiculous to pretty heavy - This one weighs in at 4.3kg. The body is Rosewood around a thin layer of Maple, with a Rosewood Maple strip U shaped neck. The 184mm (7 ¼” ) radius Rosewood fretboard has 21 vintage frets, 42mm nut and the machine heads are Vintage Kluson Style tuners. The pickups are Black Telecaster Vintage Made in Japan with red bobbins.
The guitar is in fantastic condition, especially having had its 40 th
birthday – it has clearly been well cared for over the years with just a tiny mark on the back, above the string trough ferrules, and a small mark on the treble horn to show for its years. Getting pretty hard to find these guitars these days, especially in this condition – comes complete with a Fender Protector Hard Case.
