This stunning looking Gibson ES-335 is from 1987 and is ‘pre custom shop’ denoted by the Custom Shop Edition sticker to the back of the headstock. 2 Owners from new and both have clearly taken care of this guitar over the last 38+ years as it is still in superb condition with only a very slight tarnishing of the nickel pickup covers to show for its age.
The flame on both front and back of the body (and on the neck) is really beautiful and is typical of what Gibson produced under the Custom Shop Edition banner, where they would create special editions of historic Gibson models.
The guitar not only looks great but plays and sounds fantastic with the Shaw Patent number humbuckers. The guitar has been setup with new set of Dragon Skin 10s and comes complete with its original Gibson hard case.
