Martin manufactured the D-35S between 1966 and 1993. It has a rosewood body with three-piece back and D-35 appointments. The three-piece back of the D-35S allowed the use of more narrow pieces of precious Brazilian rosewood which was used by Martin until 1969 - This 1991 model has Indian Rosewood.
The top is solid Spruce construction, selected for both tone and beauty. Neck is Mahogany with slotted headstock (this is the S in the guitar model name), a slightly wider 1.78“ nut width, and joined to the sloped shoulder dreadnought body at the 12th fret, with an Ebony fretboard. The guitar comes complete with a factory fitted Martin Gold+Plus under saddle pickup system.
The guitar is in great condition with only some minor marks to show for its 35 years of play – a slight loss of finish to the top of the headstock and small marks on the top and side (see last 4 pictures). The guitar comes complete with its Hiscox hard shell case.
