50th Anniversary American Deluxe Stratocaster with 2-Color Sunburst finish and Maple Fretboard.
Produced for the 50th anniversary of the birth of the original Stratocaster in 1954, the 50th Anniversary American Deluxe Stratocaster featured the pinnacle of modern guitar innovation at the time, including three Samarium Cobalt Noiseless (SCN) Strat pickups, S-1 switching (moving pickup combinations between parallel and series) , modern "C" neck shape, 2-point synchronized tremolo with a pop-in arm, staggered locking tuning machines, abalone fretboard inlays and all gold hardware.
This 2004 example is in near mint, unplayed, condition – we had to open one of the packets in the case to get the trem arm out for the pictures! The guitar comes complete with its original Vintage-Style Tweed Hard Case with Red Embroidered Commemorative Anniversary Patch sewn in the top of the crushed gold interior lining of the case, and all the original case candy. Only minor item of note is some light tarnishing on the top of the top 3 gold saddles - see last picture.
