The Gibson CS-356 has similar lines, but a smaller overall size, to an ES-335, with a AAA book-matched arched Maple top and a routed solid Mahogany back piece with a solid centre piece (as opposed to the separate Maple centre block of most 335 models) – Gibson call this the “tonal carve”.
The compact body shape is well-balanced and resists feedback while remaining extremely resonant, amplified by a pair of singing '57 Classic humbuckers. In both beauty and brawn, these Gibson Custom CS-356 guitars really do reign supreme.
This 2004 model is in absolute mint condition having been bought new by a collector and never being played. Comes complete with original hard case and the Certificate of Authenticity.
