Immaculate and brilliant 2008 Gibson Custom Shop Chambered ’58 Reissue Les Paul in Cherry Burst finish over a nicely flamed maple top.
The Gibson Custom Shop Chambered Les Paul guitar started production in the early spring of 2004. While there are plenty of signature Les Paul's and other styles of Gibson guitar the Chambered is very different. Basically the maple top sits on a tonally carved mahogany bowl with strategically placed stress blocks between the back and top. The Chambered Custom Shop Les Pauls are great for the player looking for the feel, tone, and vibe of a Custom Shop Les Paul but at a much more manageable weight. This one is a delightful 3.5kg. This example features a true chunky 50s neck profile, Burstbucker pickups and comes complete with its original Lifton hardshell case, COA, and some other original case candy. Only some tarnishing of the finish to the pickup covers stop this guitar being classed as mint - see last picture.
