Made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line The FR1620 was produced by Ibanez from 2008 to 2014.
The FR1620 was introduced as one of the initial models in the "Free Style Rock" FR series, with a “new” body shape reminiscent of the Fender Telecaster. It features an ash body with white binding bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Hardware includes the Tight-End fixed bridge, a pair of Ibanez Calm Crusher humbucking pickups mounted in chrome pickup rings, 5-way pickup selector, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut and a small black pickguard.
This gloss black finished 2008 model is in fantastic condition, with no visible wear to frets and fretboard. The Gotoh machine heads have been replaced with a set of Vanson locking machine heads, and the original tuners are included in the original Ibanez embossed fitted case.
