The Fender Coronado Bass II was reintroduced by Fender in 2013, with production lasting for 5 years. This retro style 30" scale bass features a thin, semi-hollow maple body with an alder centre-block, bound top and back and bound f-holes. The “C”-shaped maple neck has a 9.5" radius, bound rosewood fretboard with 21 medium jumbo frets and white pearloid block inlays.
The vintage tone comes from a pair of Filter’Tron humbuckers, with three-way pickup selector, and individual control knobs for volume and tone each pickup – although the impact from the tone controls is minimal. The Candy Apply Red finish on this model is in great condition with only some very light play wear evident – the frets and fretboard are in equally good condition. The only thing of note is that the scratch plate is missing.
The bass has been setup with a lovely set of flat wound strings and comes complete with a padded gig bag. You don't see many of these come up for sale so grab this one while you can.
