Built in the Gibson Memphis factory in 2016 this ES‑335 Block Satin combines the classic ES‑335 structure with block fretboard inlays and a satin nitrocellulose finish, giving it a more vintage, “played‑in” aesthetic and feel.
The ES‑335 is Gibson’s classic semi‑hollow “Electric Spanish” guitar, first introduced in 1958. It has a maple/poplar laminate body with a solid maple centre-block to reduce feedback while retaining hollow‑body warmth.
This 2016 model has Gibson’s Burstbucker pickups, ABR-1 bridge with upgraded titanium saddles, vintage style Kluson Deluxe tuners and a tubeless truss rod for improved sustain. The guitar is all original with the exception of the Gold Gibson knobs - original black knobs are in the case but the gold knobs help with that vintage look. The guitar is in superb condition save some very small marks to the top of the headstock (see last picture). Comes complete with its original Gibson tan hard case and COA – a great Memphis built version of this classic Gibson model.
