First introduced in 1990 the Gibson Les Paul Classic is a reissue of the 1960 Les Paul, known for its slim neck profile and vintage-style features, including a narrow headstock, thin cutaway binding, vintage-style logo and nickel hardware (Grover tuners/ABR-1 bridge).
Only produced in this configuration in 2018 this Ebony finished Gibson Les Paul Classic is a thing of beauty. The gloss black finish to body and neck combined with Rosewood fretboard, black scratch plate and black pickup covers makes for a striking look. The main difference from the normal Les Paul Classic is the pickups – the 2018 Classic has a pair of P90s, harking back to early the ‘50s Les Pauls – and what a fantastic sound they produce.
The guitar is in near mint condition and looks like it has not had a lot of play over the past 8 years. Frets and fretboard have no visible wear and the body only has some light plectrum marks stopping us marking this as mint condition. It comes complete with its original tan Gibson hard case, warranty documents and baby picture.
