When it was released, the J-55 carried on the tradition of Gibson round-shoulder acoustic instruments. It was one of four Jumbo guitars offered by Gibson in the 1930s, becoming extremely sought after decades after its original release. This 2021 Custom Shop 1939 J-55 features premium ebony on the fingerboard and bridge, a long-scale neck, a thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. Distinctive custom additions include a Moustache™ bridge, terraced fire stripe pickguard, and a wide 1.77" nut width.
The guitar is in near mint condition and comes complete with its original red line, purple lined TKL hard case and COA - and, as a nice addition, it has been fitted with LR Baggs Anthem pickup system.
This guitar is normally over £4,500 new so a great opportunity to pick up an near mint version at more the 1/3 off the new price.
