Based in York, England PJD Guitars was founded in 2010 by Leigh Dovey. The name PJD is dedicated to the memory of Leigh's late father, who was a prop maker for the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden. Every PJD guitar is hand crafted in the UK by master luthiers, from the finest woods from sustainable forests worldwide. These guys have been producing fantastic guitars that have received superb reviews – playing this one you can see why.
The Carey Limited features a chambered, bound Mahogany body, paired with a AAA quilted maple top with a satin Caramel Burst finish. The neck is made from roasted maple, with a custom neck profile based on a standard "C" shape and a lovely Rosewood fretboard. The heal block is contoured for comfort and the pickups are 2 Bare Knuckle The Mule humbuckers.
The guitar does have some tiny marks on the body, and a bit of discolouration to the scratch plate and pickup surrounds (see last 5 pictures) but generally the guitar is in great condition – comes complete with its original PJD embossed Hiscox case and case candy.
